"Using the most current figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “real” (inflation-adjusted) average weekly earnings of rank-and-file, non-supervisory workers were 2.2 percent higher in August than they were a year earlier, and 5.8 percent higher than they were in August 2003 — the 12-year period O’Malley specified."
5.8 percent? Still sad, considering that insurance has outpaced inflation. I know many people's bring home money is the same or less, inflation adjusted, over the past 5 or so years. I highly doubt that the labor statistics are taking any of that into account.
The democrats nor republicans have done nothing to increase the common man's wage, plain and simple.
