So we've been on the losing end of tariffs for a long time. Other countries act like they have zero tariffs on our foods when in fact they don't. They are just so used to be in the beneficial end that when Trump raises our tariffs they are raising theirs. The problem is theirs are already higher in most regards.
For years we had a 2 percent tariffs on European cars and they had a 10 percent tariffs on our cars making it hard to sell our cars.
NAFTA has had lopsided tariffs with Mexico and Canada for years.
Maybe Ford/GM need to make their cars here maybe?
