Tariffs

So we've been on the losing end of tariffs for a long time. Other countries act like they have zero tariffs on our foods when in fact they don't. They are just so used to be in the beneficial end that when Trump raises our tariffs they are raising theirs. The problem is theirs are already higher in most regards.

For years we had a 2 percent tariffs on European cars and they had a 10 percent tariffs on our cars making it hard to sell our cars.

NAFTA has had lopsided tariffs with Mexico and Canada for years.

Maybe Ford/GM need to make their cars here maybe?

I didn't watch all the video.

It's pretty simple with Canada. We import about 500B and they import 500B from us. This means Canada exports to the United States 1/4 OF ITS GDP. Let's say our Tariffs end up costing Canada 1 percent. That's 5 Billion dollars.

They just capitulated into spending 1.5B and 10K personell to their border and fentanyl crisis. This is much cheaper than any impact on their exports.
