And he can go straight or hook the lane. I remember one show where he started straight and had nothing for several frames, then, out of nowhere moved to the far left and banked it off the gutter for nothing but strikes.

I remember a few of those times. I also remember him in a match where hooking the ball found the pocket but would not carry a 10 pin. I could see his frustration. Soon he went to his bag, pulled out a Urethane and played the twig. Won the match and moved on to take the day.
