We are running into an issue where people are at our pool who don't belong. BexBeca of issues like this, no one wants to say anything, even if the people at the pool don't belong because simply asking them is considered profiling.

Even if this dude was profiling, but only working in the capacity as a representative of the HOA, he lost his main job.

I don't want to lose my job asking kids if they belong in the neighborhood. Just having key access does not automaticly mean one is allowed to be there as people give their keys to friends which is against HOA policy.

Next thing you know, nobody has any land for housing due to all the damn pools being dug! :Biggrin:

We’ve talked about this already, he fucked up. He should have asked everyone if he was that worried about it.....

Just had another permit patty, this time here in Columbus. A white lady called the police on a black child running a lemonade stand saying she didn’t have a permit. Well the lady’s name was ass because the mom had a permit. Turns out the girl has been doing this for the past 5 years, she has a nice little airbrushed stand and everything.

Back to the OP, yes he was profiling. He picked the one black family at the pool. Why not a white family? Sorry not buying it. He was hiding behind his job.

Still doesn't solve the problem of trying to get trespassers out. I still maintain that this woulwd have been an issue even if he was asking everyone. Why? Because all that would have been recorded was the confrontation. The media would just have ommited the part where he was aaaski everyone. It's also plausible he already knew everyone there but not here.

I'm convinced it's simply hard to do the right thing anymore.

The permit Patty issue was really started by both businesses and government wanting money for permits. We've got lawn companies calling out kids mowing lawns. Now it's an excuse used by anyone and everyone.

Most are lucky to have a meeting a year. I've been in our neighborhood for over 4 and have yet to have one.
 
Nope we have HOA meetings and we have lived here for over 10 years and have never gone to one. Some people just don’t do that stuff.

Our neighbors used to think that my wife worked for the CIA or something because they only saw her pulling in from work and pulling out to work. She wasn’t outside, she didn’t interact with the neighbors. So it is very easy to not be seen.

Even in DJ’s scenario there would not have been as big of a problem if he checked everyone. If he he would have announced himself and said he was doing an ID check of the entire pool area that would have sufficed.
