What's the first thing a dictator does?

Take control of the media and blackout communications. Something like what Trump is doing with the EPA. No, exactly the same.

The EPA isn't media. They are an extremely invasive entity that is sucking BILLIONS of tax dollars while passing ridiculous regulations on manufacturing and private lives and causing unnecessary financial and legal hardships. They need to be disbanded.

Unlike the Democrats and liberals in recent years, I doubt that the Trump administration will push for re-enactment of the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" with regard to American media.

The EPA isn't part of the media, they are part of the government that falls under the Executive branch controlled by the President.

Seeing how there are big changes planned for this agency, it makes sense that until the new administration of the EPA takes charge and implements new rules there, that someone higher up oversee the outgoing public communications of that agency..

+1 ....... What Greg and Robodat said...

Yes, the EPA isn't part of the media. BUT, denying them contact with media is direct manipulation of media. That's what dictators do.

Not when their news is fake news. Maybe if they decide to become a legitimate news outlet they can earn their cred back.

I knew when I made the original post that all of you good little TRUMPeteers would jump at the EPA reference, rather than see reality for what it is.

Look right above your prior post. I did address the reality of it.

Original question: What's the first thing a dictator does?

A: Honestly, I can't remember the first thing that Barack Hussein Obama did (as president).

Let me know when all of the extant news agencies are shut down and the Trump News Network (TNN) starts the job of informing the masses on all things media.

Until that time, I see him reining in a government that has enjoyed excess at the expense of the public for FAR longer than should have been allowed.

From what I've read, this is sop when a new president comes in. All high level management is gone until new leaders are in place, so these agencies are in black out until appointments are made. Its happened with every administration change.

Funny, he was talking about it.
