On principle I sorta agree, but fundamentally what's going to happen is we will get dumb as rocks politicians who will still make some money.
Smart private business owners or private individuals making money in their given fields and industries just simply won't try and run.
You'll get more AOC and less Rand Paul. Heck Tuberville wouldn't be my senator, and it's quite likely why he's going state politicis instead.
I also don't agree with dependants not owning stocks. The contract to be a politician is not with dependants.
