    Part of the problem now

Well, it seemingly looks like younger gen Z ers are on board with not going to college. And yes, you have valid observations. But that doesn't magically fill the current jobs currently open. Lets just say these tariffs do bring 2-3 million jobs here. It's going to be artificial because none are...

    Part of the problem now

https://nam.org/2-1-million-manufacturing-jobs-could-go-unfilled-by-2030-13743/ We have manufacturing jobs unfulfilled now. According to Mike Rowe, we have a million or more Trade jobs unfulfilled. I'd love to see more manufacturing here, but who's willing to do it?

    Tariffs

He is such a bore. I have a hard time listening to him. I get his points but man is as dull as Ben Stein.

    I find it funny

That NOW the left wants to worry about the stock market. I mean, we had down turns during Biden but they weren't calling for Biden to change course then. The left also seem to be worried about pensions and 401Ks all of a sudden, but they can't bring themselves to talk about millionaire investors...

    Tariffs

Why plus 10 percent? So if a country has zero percent on us, why should consumers pay 10 percent on imports from those countries?

    Tariffs

Rand Paul is a libertarian ideally, and his issue is that we should be negotiating a zero tariff on both sides.

    Tariffs

So what do y'all make of it all? 1. We generally get the short straw already from most trading countries. The EU has 10 percent on cars and we only have 2.5 percent, for example. Even pundits on the right fail to acknowledge this( Shapiro) 2. I don't think these Tariffs will bring that much work...

Explain it to me like I'm 5

This came up again with Ro Kahna on Twitter. I remember listening to Bernie stating he didn't take pharma money yet records have shown he took millions of individual donations from employees who work in pharma. How does that happen? Is there an edict from corporate? In Ro Kahna's case, he's...

    Lol at these judges

So judge incorrectly orders Doge to reinstate USAID. Doge can't do that. It has to come from the POTUS to the state Dept. What I don't get in many of these situations is the executive can "create" something but can't dismantle it? Reminds me of when Trump could not shut down Dreamers ( Doca )...

    Sorry, but Trump's wrong

And massie is right. Trump has had years, along with house reps and Senate reps, to have a budgeting bill ready to go.

    Anti-Trump rallies

Several Ant-trump rallies going on locally in my area. We have a fair number of civilian government workforce and reports are they are "fearful" of their jobs. According to them, It's due to all sorts of Trump chaos. These folks somehow think they are entitled to their government job. Maybe...

    Terrible idea

    A. People with poor credit won't get cards B. People with good credit will pay higher rates to subsidize those who'd default.

    ACB

Sides with the liberal judges. Sets a dangerous precedent. So I guess the construction workers should have sued Biden for ending the contract on building the wall? How about the keystone pipeline contracts?

    I find it interesting

That when conservatives state that increasingly capital gains taxes will just increase prices, the left will say that companies should have to reduce margins. But when consumers pay a tariff as a tax, the left just can't believe it. Trump tax is bad. Democrat tax is good and corporations are good.
